Ashford Universitywas accredited by WASC Senior College and University Commission. It offers the guidance of a community that relates a traditional college campus with effective learning online. But, the mission of this university is to provide accessible, affordable and high quality education via different medium that meets the diverse needs of students pursuing integrity in their lives, communities and professions. Ashford was established in 1918 as a junior college for women in Iowa called Mount St. Clare. After that it was opened for all students and awarded degrees at the associate, masters and bachelor’s level, became Ashford University. Later on different online learning were developed where students can choose their own subjects such as social science, liberal arts etc. Most of the student are enrolled in online courses offered from the university’s headquarters located at San Diego, California, Ashford’s traditional campus was located in Clinton, Iowa with 24-acre. St. Clare Hall is one of the notable buildings in this campus.
The university is not only forward in education but also forward in Athletics. The teams of the Ashford University are known as Saints. Many sports games are available at the university such as basketball, baseball, tennis, volleyball, golf and many more.International students going into Ashford University can pursue a high quality education that covers the full spectrum of knowledge and skills.
